Hi there, I'm Gretchen.
I'm an artist, a Pisces, a queer femme, and a wild woman.
My first passion has always been theatre and, pre-Covid, I was lucky enough to be a working theatre actor for nearly two decades. In 2017, I dove head-first into the filmmaking world to take more ownership over the stories I wanted to tell. I love it here.
Having lived and performed in NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Edinburgh, I've experienced a lot of growth in my life due to my dream of being an entertainer. I've had an unconventional stage career, with credits in everything from originating roles in Off-Broadway musical theatre comedies to international productions of my own work to being a part of the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Vegas... I'm a good time gal!
In 2018, I created my own production company, Wylder Womyn Productions, in order to start making more of the work I wanted to see in the world. My inaugural film making project, These Thems, is a queer comedy series that I created, wrote, and star in. Check out the trailer:

Made by an entirely LGBTQ+/POC/female creative team and crew in NYC, These Thems has won seven awards, including the AT&T Audience Award at Frameline 2020, screened at 40 film festivals, and was named one of GLAAD's "Top Trans Stories" 2019. Post-pandemic, I've continued working in indie film as a Producer. Films I've produced under Wylder Womyn Productions have gone on to screen at Tribeca, Geena Davis' Bentonville Film Festival, HollyShorts, Outfest, Newfest, etc etc.
I just returned from a run of my first solo show, 2025 Salem Witch Trial, which I brought to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for its World Premiere in August! And wow - what an incredible experience!! Not only did I love the craziness of the Fringe, but my show had packed houses, I received rave reviews, and even won a Spookies (Horror) Award for "Best Solo Show!" This show is based on a crazier-than-fiction true story that happened to me and turning my trauma into art has been so healing - and fun! Who knew?
You can learn more about my background in my bio section, including my extensive work in musical theatre, comedy writing, and burlesque.
As far as my future goes... I believe in the power of representation and have committed myself to bringing authentic and empowering stories to life from an intersectional feminist perspective.
Want to help me and my vision succeed? Lez talk.
