Now that I've officially settled into my new home as a West Coast Person, I'm excited to share everything I am up to this month.
I just started a new writers class: TV Writing for the Actor with Kim Kressal. Kim has been a long-time mentor of mine and I'm very excited about diving into the work with her.
I'll also be performing around town a lot throughout the month of April.
April 19 -- I'll be performing an original piece for Queer Cabaret in The Commons' inaugural season
April 20 -- Staged reading of Femmes: A Tragedy by Gina Young as part of her Sorority Series
April 21 -- Lesbian Story Slam night where I'll be performing an original piece written specifically for this event
My dream baby is moving right along in post-production. Announcements on where to watch it at a festival near you coming soon! If you haven't checked out our website yet, what are you waiting for?!
After NINE beautiful, trying, and eventful years in NYC, I have relocated to the west coast! THESE THEMS is in the can and our director and editor are both LA based, so I figured now is as good a time as ever to try out a new city. Excited to be working on post-production in La La Land and I'm, uh, REALLY happy about the weather. Sorry, NYers. It's great here.
22 crew members, 25 speaking roles, 40+ extras, 377 Indiegogo backers and LOTS of additional help and support along the way. I can not say THANK YOU enough to every beautiful human who had a hand in making this dream a reality.
We wrapped production today after 11 intense days of filming. The on-set experience was something so beautiful and full of love, my heart is bursting just thinking about it. Can't wait to dive into post-production! Check www.thesethems.com for more updates. For now, enjoy these adorable behind-the-scenes photos.
Well, this was fun. Delightful cabaret artist and pal, Amy Jo Jackson, invited me to sing a duet version of "All of Me" by John Legend with her. And I do believe this is also proof that angels can be altos. Just saying.
